    hi,

i’m doing an animated film which will use drawings created digitally, and ones that are scanned.
this is meant to be shown on dvd and the like later.

    my format is DV widescreen.

should i use use square pixels or not, and why?

if i use square, what will happen to the image on a tv screen?

I’d suggest 860 X 480 to avoid having to scale in two directions
