Spot removal on shirt – live video
Sorry this is a repost – but I added footage so you can see what I am dealing with.
I am needing to try and remove the tape that has come undone from the persons shirt. When the light hits it just right it glares.
I tried fixing this by cloning frame by frame, but it took me 5 hours to do 35 seconds and you can tell where I brushed out the tape mark.
I am somewhat new to AE but do know many concepts but any advise you may have will be extremely helpful.

One trick that always worked for me is to duplicate your layer, roto a mask around the area of the tape and animate that mask (this way you poke a whole on your top layer), then offsett the bottom layer to replace the shirt area with the tape with one next to it that has no tape. This way you get the same texture, lighting and movement. Of course you’ll have to play with finding the right area and feathering the mask.
