    Hi,

Using “Levels” effect in dark scenes, in Vegas Pro 15, will cause sporadic flickering/blinking after rendering (preview works fine).
Turning GPU acceleration off will not help.
Is there any workaround for this issue ?

    Thank you,
    Marius

If your Preview is good I really doubt it’s the Levels FX. If it was, then we’d be swamped with similar issues from others, and we are not. Try rendering to an alternative Format to test. Plus we need more information on your Media and that Render Template used.

    Hi Graham,

The thing is, if I disable Levels effect then everything is fine on rendered video. As I have mentioned, this issue occurs only on dark scenes, and using Levels I am trying to adjust a little bit let’s say the brightness and the noise because the video was shot at night.

Below are the properties of the video I am trying to edit:

Marius thanks for the info. Really helps

Try rendering to another template. It’s starting to sound you’ve got too low a bitrate. There’s a lot of maths going on with a Levels Correction.

Oh I meant to ask. Do you have another Media in your Project?

Yes, I do have multiple Media in the Project, but all are from the same source (smartphone).
From experience and several testing, I learned that this template gives the best quality for mp4: Sony AVC/MVC 1920×1080-30p
