Splitting “Title 1” into multiple other titles
First, I have searched the forums for this question, but could not. If this question has already been answered, please direct me to it with my apologies. Also, my question is about DVD architect, so kind of Vegas.
I have one large video that was originally a VHS. I have divided it into 30 chapters, some of which are studio footage, others music videos, with some live footage. I would like to create a way to watch a single type of footage at a time, back-to back, in addition to watching the entire main video. Because the footage is too tightly mingled in it’s original presentation, rendering it as multiple files would produce 13 files and ruins the continuity of not only the title and chapters but the video itself. The help file says of playlists:
“Each playlist contains a user-defined sequence of movies, chapter markers, music/video compilations, or picture compilations…”
However, chapters aren’t available for use in playlists, only the entire movie. I know what I want is possible because certain DVDs behave as such. For example, my ER DVDs hierarchy is:
Title 1: Episodes 1-4 (24 chapters total)
|- Title 2: Episode 1 (6 chapters total)
|- Title 3: Episode 2 (6 chapters total)
|- Title 4: Episode 3 (6 chapters total)
|- Title 5: Episode 4 (6 chapters total)
|- Title 6: Deleted Scenes (~4 chapters)Title 1 stays “title 1” throughout all four episodes, so I assume it’s one long video. And therefore it’s possible to then take that video and divide it into smaller titles that end when the title does. This is what I’d like DVD Architect to do, but I haven’t found a reasonable way to do so that doesn’t involve cutting my video into cumbersome pieces.
Any help is appreciated.
