Split & trim – regenerates deleted events.
I like the idea of ‘triming beyond end’ to get repeated stills of the last frame in the event.
But when i try to do it the way I think it should be done, the trimming in fact restores the media that I had split’d and deleted.
1) media properties loop = unchecked
2) move media to timeline.
3) place marker at where i want to split
4) hit S . Media splits in 2
5) delete the right half of split.
6) Remove fade from audio ( why is it there and hard to get rid of! )
7) NOW I TRY TO TRIM beyond end by ( at least ) 1 frame. What happens is that the end of remaining event is not duplicated or (beginning) looped. Instead it appears that the next frame of the deleted/removed ( first frame of right half of splitted ) event is placed there. I wanted to have the last frame of the left half of the split to duplicate so I can create a fade of just that frame.
ALSO Why does the fade to the audio keep returning, even though i keep removing it. Crossfades = off.
Anyway, I got vegas 9c/64bit on an AMD quad core 64bit machine.
