    I am trying to create a split screen clip using Adobe Premiere Elements. I can only create a PiP, not a 50-50 split screen clip… please help.

    Look up Garbage Matte in the help file.

    Place one clip on top of another, apply the garbage matte effect to the top clip and adjust the area revealed of the underlying clip to suit.
