Hey everyone, I was wondering how they did the effects/editing in the ‘Masters of style’ gillette commercial? I’ve been searching for tutorials but can’t seem to find any that relate to the illusion Im going for. Im mainly interested in the way they split screen different clips with the black lines in between them, I know I can figure out the clip animation part of it..just kinda lost on the rest of it haha. If anyone knows how to accomplish this effect please let me know as it would be really cool to add into a short film project I’m working on, thanks!

    Try this:

With a bit of adapting it can provide the sliding windows effect you are looking for. If it’s like what you are looking for, scroll down the comments towards the bottom and see the changes I made to make it more flexible. If you have CS5.5, and it is the sort of thing you are after, let me know and I’ll upload a template project I setup.
