I just dragged a video I’m trying to edit into Vegas, just like I do with any other video, but for some reason I’m getting this double image. The screen is split, and both halves just have the same image. One time, one half of the screen was just green. This is strange, any fixes?

What is the format of the source video? Can you show us a screen shot of what you mean? It’s kind of hard to understand what’s going on without seeing it.

Is it happening with just this one clip? It may be a 3D clip, as one of the 3D formats is sids be sids as your describiing. No otherway unless you use track motion and resize two video trackes to look like that.

Are you referring to the trimmer and preview windows?

Sounds like the preview screen has the split screen view and set to either Select Left Half or Select Right Half. You may be seeing a secondary colour balance FX that you have inadvertently placed on the clip.
