I am trying to render my first Vegas project, but keep getting the message “low on memory…” I already adapted the page file size, but this doesn’t help. When I delete most of my clips, keeping lets say 5 minutes of the project, rendering seems to works. How can I render small parts of my project and put these rendered files back together if my final purpose is a BD iso-file? What should I render the partial files into? Or how should I proceed? I guess just splitting up the project in small projects and then assemble again into 1 project with file nesting will not solve the problem?

Are you working with Vegas Pro 9? If yes, are you using the latest version (9e)? If not, your problem might be solved by updating to 9e

The version is indeed Vegas Pro 9e.

Ok, let me put it this way. I’ve seen many posts about the “low memory”, a lot of them without solution. Splitting up the project seems to work in most cases.

So, if I split up my project in several .veg files and I render each of these small projects, what should I render them into if my final goal is a BD iso-file?

    1) AVCHD, which includes audio and video (I think)
    2) render video and audio separately (blu-ray for video and ac3 for audio) and put them back on the timeline?

When I put these rendered files on the timeline in a new project and render this “compiled” project, will there be another encoding with possible loss of quality?
