Someone posted the shortcut key combo to split a clip on the PP2 timeline and I can’t remember it.

Can someone please post it again. I don’t want to click the razer blade, make the cut, and click back to the pointer everytime. I want to split a clip immediately with one keystroke at the marker.

That cuts all tracks right? Is there a faster way to cut one track from the keyboard beyond hitting c cut then v back to move?

There are several ways to make the same. You can look at keyboard short-cuts and make your own and at the same time learn it.
Mine, for example, is “Z” for cut, “X” for ripple delete, “C” for CTI backspace (to going back into TLine)& “B” for strech/expand tool
This way with left hand, 3 fingers I can manipulate my main editing tools faster w/o using 2 fingers for one operation (like control K, control D etc)

I dont have to make a cut everytime to take out unwanted material; just with “B” tool is enough.
But you have to make your own assigment and tailor your Kboard to your taste.

Years passed by, but questions are around. If you don´t know, probably your are acquitted with other programs, then Adobe. If you have a problem using the now CS 5.5 may be you are searching the wrong command. As you wish to “split” a clip or make a “cut”, you will not find’em at keyboard shortcuts. “Cut” for Adobe is cut&paste. Split are vertical splitting os tracks. What you need is ADD EDIT a very proprietary language. So, search for ADD and you will find immediately ADD EDIT and ADD EDIT ALL TRACKS. Simply choose your preferred key, because ctrl-something if a terrible choice. As an old Avid Liquid professional I ever cut clips with “.” and all track with “;” – have a good edit.
