split audio sync problems?
I having some issues with audio and dropped frames. First audio, my playback audio is getting split. I’m getting audio from the right channel playing back at normal speed and audio from the left channel playing back slow-mo. Never had this happen before. Sometimes during playback its fine, then the next time a try, boom, same problem. Any ideas what would be causing this? Simply stereo mix, music bed with single track VO.
Next issue, all the sudden I’m getting dropped frames like crazy. Computer isn’t doing anything other than email and FCP. I’ve been working on the same project for about a week now and no issues. Now today, same sequence, same :30, but dropping frames during playback. Again, never had issues before because my RAID 0 is wicked fast.
Thought/Ideas?

I’ve actually done that already. Re-aligned the drives, cached out, and all that good stuff and everything checked out. not really worried to much about the dropped frames, the audio splitting is more concern right now. Never seen or heard of this before.

The dropped frame problem might be due to a media or render file being used by your sequence being accidentally placed on the System drive. This is easily resolved by checking where your media is and making sure all your sequence media & renders are in the right place. The easiest way I know of checking for this is by right clicking on the sequence icon in the browser and selecting reconnect media from the drop down menu. Scroll down the Reconnect Files window and make sure that none of your files are going to the system drive.
As for the Audio Splitting? Are all your frame rates the same on the sequence?

Thx Victor for the response. All my media resides on my RAID array and have no issues before with the same project. And the audio thing is just plain weird. frame rates are the same because its only a i media clip sequence and images. i’m going to keep exploring and see what I can find. thx again for your comments.
