Spinning planet with connecting lines?
I built this spinning planet using Trapcode in AE:

But I need to add connecting lines that wrap around it like in this video:

I also have an .obj file integrated into it that they could be mapped to, if that has anything to do with it. Anybody know how to do that? And then on top of that, I need the camera to fly into one of the lines so it can transition out into some stock footage…any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

I’ve done this with C4D with not too much difficulty (also where that videohive example was built). I tried doing something with CC Sphere and putting just a line in there to have it wrap around the globe, and that works, but the line is flat and you can’t go from point to point (country A to country B) and you know how resolution goes with CC Sphere.
Unless you own something better than C4D Lite, you might try looking up some tutorials on how to do it there.
I think Dem Earth ($329 C4D plugin) has those kinds of lines built into, but that’s an extreme solution.
