sphere help
whenever i add the sphere effect to a mask, it never spherizes the entire circle, just like a small portion of it in the middle, like an oval in the middle, no matter what shape i do, it never spherizes as a circle, can neone help me?

CC sphere?
It spherizes the entire layer, so if you want a complete sphere, the layer has to go all the way to the edge. Best is a layer that is twice as wide as it is high.
Not sure what you want to create, though …

so you have a layer that’s and image or footage, you make a circle (holding the shift key to create a perfect circle), apply the standard spherize effect and adjust the radius to match the mask circle, and your spherize ‘circle’ won’t match your mask circle?
what version of ae are you using? are you using other effects on the same layer?
if you have other effects on it, you may need to precomp the layer with the other effects on it and apply spherize to the precomp (maybe the mask too).

yeah, cc sphere will use the layer as a texture map to wrap around a sphere, you wouldn’t need a circular mask to cut it out or define it, it will create a circle when it wraps you image around a sphere… if that is what you are doing.
