  Speed/Power when Rendering

  Stats:

  Mac OS X
  10.6.3
  2×2.26 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
  16GB 1066 MHz DDR3

  I have 8 DIMM Memory Slots – 2GB per each slot
  (Is this spread out properly? Is that an option?)

  Problem: Render times and overall speed performance when working in FCP or Motion/AE are slow. Any ideas where I am going wrong?
