  • Speeding Up Disk?

Im working in FCE4 with some sped up HDV footage and keep getting a messege that says something like” frames were dropped during play back.” Then it goes on to say a handful of things to try to fix the problem. The main thing that Looks like I need to do is “speed up” my disk but am unsure how or where to do this. Can you guys lead me in the right direction? Thanks

No one can help you without information.

What type of hard drive are you capturing your media to, firewire 400?

Is your media drive a different drive than your system drive?

How much free space remains on your media drive?

Im capturing my media to my local hard drive on my computer…not an external drive.

I currently have 19 gigs left on my drive.

Ive also noticed after changing a few things in the user preferences in FCE, that I am now no longer able to scale my clip. ???

    Michael,

The dropped frame issues stem from a) media on your system drive and b)not enough free space on your drive.
