Speed up Compressor 4 tricks, apps, etc?
I just started an encoding of a jimmy rigged video (MKV>M4V Wrap) as ProRes 422 (LT). I tested it out on a one minute clip and it work great, but took over thirty minutes! For one minute! I need to edit one-hundred and fifty minutes minutes! Unless there is literally no other way, I really don’t want to spend 80 hours to encode something (especially since with my luck something would go wrong right at the end).
So: is there a way to super speed up Compressor 4? Are there plug-ins? Any tricks (like virtual clusters on C3)? Or maybe a different app entirely? I have Adobe Media Encoder CS5.5, and have not tried it yet.
HDD space is not a concern.

Have you enabled the Cluster on your MacPro?
