Speed transitions
Hi there!
I’m fairly new to PPro, allthough I’m used to working with timelines in Flash. I have made a 3d visualization (.mpeg) of the view from a car going around a circuit in 3dMax. I’m using PPro to give the impression that the car will actually slow down and accelerate before/after corners. The original footage was rendered in Max at a constant speed so I want to add this effect after in PPro.
So far I have managed to cut the original movie into different sections and adjust the speed using the Speed/duration option. Nevertheless the transition between the different sections is quite abrupt. So I would like to slowly reduce and pick up speed between the diiferent sections. Is there an effect I could use or do I have to set the incoming and outgoing speed manually at the in and out frame of the transition???
Any help will be most appreciated (please keep in mind that I’m new to this program so I don’t know where to find all the tools and functions yet).

Two thoughts.
PPro does not offer a speed ramp facility. After Effects has time remap. You might be better off changing speed in 3Dmax (if this option is available)).
MPEG is not an ideal edit format, especially when editing with PPro. Better to go for a CODEC without temporal comnpression (eg uncompressed or DV).
