  Speed changes in Motion

  Hey Guys,
  Just woundering if anyone can shed some light on how motion deals with speed.
  I seem to have a diffucult time getting many of the emitters and effects to slow down( or speed up).
  It seems the speed and speed range controls dont really slow down the whole effect but maybe just one aspect or they dont do much at all. (Midnight cruise emitter for instance)
  As well, doing motion graphics work, I constantly need to slowdown and speed up clips and effects and emitters.
  It seems that Motion is incredibly limited in this department.

  so one question is how to change the speed of imported footage.
  and another is how to change the speed of generators, emitters, image units and replicators.
