speed adjustment makes clip jumpy
I have a few clips that I tried to slow the speed, but when I got to the 80% level and lower mainly, it gets jumpy or jittery. The same would go for speeding it up. Some clips would jump and others wouldn’t.
What could the problem be? -

The problem is the 2 interlaced fields in your video. Use the flicker filter within FCP. It can be set from mild to wild. Just experiment and see what setting works best for your particular slo-mo speed…….on a broadcast monitor. If you don’t have one just use a TV.
