    heey you guys

i have a question about something. here is the question:

You all seen it before in many fancy tv shows (specialy MTV or Viva or so) were for instance you have a dating show and the people are introduced. you get a freeze frame of one close-up person and then the whole background changes into purple with fancy stars(for a few seconds) in that time the name/ages etc appear also.

now, how do the do that, okey, jou can draw a very precise mask around the guy, but that’s taking ages to do. i think you can juse photoshop, only how do you get the frame you just freeze into photoshop as one layer?

Just place your time line marker to the point that you want to export and go to >Composition>Save Frame As>Photoshop layers.

Then mask the image out in Photoshop and re-import into AE.

you can also do this without leaving AE, by duplicating the layer and on the new layer, choosing Layer > Time > Freeze frame

Then use the pen tools to make a mask around the person, which removes the Background. Then… go to town baby!

thanxs Aharon, that is the best way to do this thing just in AE i think, i will try this first, if the result isn’t satisfied then i try it in photoshop.
