May 12, 2015 at 10:31 pmThanks John
OMG! If you knew how long I’d been working like this. How did I miss this?
Thank you so much. This is really helpful. I hope it renders smoothly from now on. I have a question.
When it does crash, in the Render window, the Sony MFX section is highlighted with same 1920×1080 spec. This happens every time. Has this ever happen to you?
Best,
Debbie

I haven’t had any crashes using Sony MXF but I’m not sure I understand what your question is (sorry). I guess the answer is no it hasn’t happened to me.

May 14, 2015 at 1:10 amHi John and Steve:
Thank you. I don’t know why it was happening, but now that I was able to render on my D drive, all rendered without crashes. BUT! When I played back the film, there was flicker in places I never had flickering before and the sync was off a bit, which does not happen when I render video and audio separate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best,
Debbie

Do you have GPU Acceleration turned on? (check Options | Preferences | Video | GPU Acceleration OFF) If it’s not off, try turning it off, restarting Vegas Pro and render again. This may clear up the flashes.

May 15, 2015 at 4:07 pmHi John:
Could this be right? 126GB I’m going to try it again to see if there is any flickering. I turned off a lot of the background processes through my task manager, as well as my Norton and Internet connection to see it thatmwas the cause for the flickering. I had turned off a lot before, but now I turned off more.
Many thanks.
Best,
Debbie

There are a lot of settings in Avid DNxHD that produce different file sizes. Without knowing what setting you used and how long the video is, it would be hard to say if that file size is correct but the file will be big.
