Sparks fly — ala “Three Stooges”
Hello
Please take a look at this sequence from the “Three Stooges”.

At 4.45 seconds in, multiple electric sparks fly. I want to re-create that effect in AE CS5. I’ve tried the Lightning effect in Premiere , but haven’t come close yet.
So I am thinking to use CC particle world. Or some other AE effect (CC or otherwise).
Any suggestions?

There’s no way you can exactly match a practical effect- except by shooting a practical effect on black and compositing that on your footage. If the 0:45 moment is the one you refer to (there’s no 4:45 in the clip you posted) then shoot a xmas sparkler on black and you should be golden.

Try the Brainstorm feature with Lightening effect in AE. That will automatically give you some new effects.
