Spaghetti particular issue…slightly urgent!
Greetings all,
I’m trying to make some spaghetti in AE. I’ve been using particular to make the strand, and then the puppet tool to get some movement in. It’s just whipping through the air so physics aren’t my problem at the moment. The problem are these ragged-ass lines in particular…
It’s a custom particle – a circular masked solid with a drop shadow to get the 3D effect. Although, it doesn’t look too great when it’s just a normal sphere. Anyone know a way of getting rid of this jaggedness?
I’ve tried blurring, feathering the mask in the custom particle precomp etc. but with no luck.
My worst case scenario is precomping the whole thing and then masking out the jaggs but, in truth, I’d rather not have to do that!
I know 3D stroke would be smoother, but I need the overlaps to work, and i can’t do that with a stroke.
Oh, and obviously I tried increasing the particles per second. That seems to make it worse…
Thanks for the help…
