space bar to play video, mouse click in timeline
I’ve switched from FCP to CS6. In FCP, I would press the space bar to play the timeline. Seems to be working the same in CS6. However, one common technique that I used was while the timeline was playing, I’d click with the mouse pointer in the top of the timeline where the time, above the tracks, where you select the playhead and and drag the playhead. In FCP, the timeline would continue to automatically continue to play. In CS6, play stops and the playhead is moved to where I click. I find this annoying because I want the video to continue to play. Now, I have to click, then press space bar.
I know this sounds dumb or perhaps a dumb way to edit. But it’s something I’ve done for over 6 years. Now I have extra movements with my hands. In fact, it’s probably the most often used click by me, other than hitting the spacebar to play a clip.
Is there a way to make this behave like FCP? (Please don’t be mean and say “better get used to it. This is NOT FCP..
