sourceText is changing paragraph alignment
I’m trying to use the text from one left aligned text box to autofill the text only into a separate right aligned text box. sourceText is forcing the text in the right aligned box to the left…any ideas how get around this?

I’m curious how you have things set up. I just ran a test, grabbing the source text from a left-aligned text box into a right-aligned text box and only the text is effected, not the paragraph alignment, using this simple expression:
thisComp.layer("left aligned").text.sourceText -
Hey Dan – that is exactly how I did it too. It has worked for me in the past, so I’m kind of stumped.

I was able to solve the problem.
Unfortunately, there was some glitch with the text box, and when I made a new one!
