Is there a way I can view the source timecode at my CTI? FCP allows this in the program monitor, and 5.5 would provide this in the info panel. CS6 doesn’t seem to do this, unless I’m missing something.

You can see the Source TC in the Source Monitor with a quick matchframe. Gang the monitors to have both running at the same time. Enable that in the panel menu.

If that doesn’t float your boat, make a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

Isn’t this available in the info panel?

CS6 has pretty much identical info panel as 5.5. I can see every video and audio track timecodes in there.

If I select a clip I get start, end, duration, etc. I get nothing about where I’m at with my CTI. The only way I can find out where I’m at in my source is to match frame, and then, obviously, only one track at a time.

You can also go to Window>Timecode which opens a new panel that displays timecode, and then there’s a pulldown menu in the top right corner where you can change it from displaying your timeline timecode to source timecode from any video or audio track. But it’s still only displays one track at a time, and you’ve gotta deal with having another window parked somewhere.

That’s correct, and it’s new in CS6. If you want more than one track displayed, you can make a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

More info here: View timecode in the Timecode panel.

The timecode viewer is another thing I’ve checked off my wish list – very helpful with a producer over my shoulder. Not sure why they pulled that info out of the info panel, which doesn’t display anything without a clip selected anymore.

I gotta say, it does feel like they are trying, no? Such a nice change from Apple there.
