I’m editing 4k video on a 1080 timeline. When I double-click a clip in the timeline, the Source monitor doesn’t display the full image of that clip. It shows only a 1080-size crop of the image. I used to be able to click on a 4K clip and get a full view of the entire frame in the Source monitor but I must have done something (or an update might have changed things?). Very frustrating and time-consuming. Any ideas about how I can get back to viewing the full 4K image in the Source monitor?

    That is correct: by design.

If you want the 4K source file, hit F while clip in timeline is selected.
