Source for Magma Expansion Chassis?
Hi Guys, looking to upgrade to a G5 and I know it requires the expansion chassis to use the p6000 card with my M100 v8.2.3. Any suggestions on where to find one of these and the $$$? Many thanks! Chris K.

We still have some chassis in our basement from our Media 100 i days. You need a PCI-X G5, though. If you would be interested, get in touch with me to speak about a price. We would have to ship them from Germany, though.

I have a PCI-X expansion chassis that I’m trying to unload after upgrading to the MacPro. I’m located in Florida, have no idea what to sell it for!

I also have the Magma Expansion Chassis for the G5 PCI-X. When I purchased mine in 2005, there was a choice of two models – one ending in “Q”, and one not. The “Q” is the quiet model (and there is a difference). All the models listed on the website now are “Q” models. The list price back then was $1489 for the “Q” and $1399 for the non-“Q””. I believe the current price is $1399.
