    Hello,

I used a sound effect from Soundtrack Pro in a show that I cut recently. The producer now wants to make sure that we have the rights to everything that’s been used. I looked in the manual but didn’t see anything that releases the use of the SFX to licensed FCP users. Does anyone know if there’s any documentation anywhere to that effect?

    Thanks,
    – David

    Hi
    https://www.apple.com/legal/sla/soundtrackpro.html

“You may use the Apple and third party audio file content (including, but not limited to, the built-in sound files, samples and impulse responses) (collectively the “Audio Content”), contained in or otherwise included with the Apple Software, on a royalty-free basis, to create your own original soundtracks for your film, video and audio projects. You may broadcast and/or distribute your own soundtracks that were created using the Audio Content…”

    Nice detective work, Paul.
That statement certainly must be in the ULA that came with or was installed with with the application.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
