    Greetings,
I’m new to C4D. My students are creating 20-30 second animated text promos that are rendered to quicktime. I have access to download music files. How can they be added in C4D to the quicktime video file?
    Thanks in advance. kw

Add a sound track in the timeline, load the sound file, and make sure “include sound” is checked in render>save settings.

Thanks for the response. I have attempted your steps and have negative results. What other checks/steps can I attempt? kw

Make sure the sound format is one that Cinema recognizes (uncompressed .wav or .aiff). If you turn on the the speaker radio button in the time slider you should hear the sound play when you run the animation in the editor window.

if you are adding a sound track successfully but not getting sound it might be sound file format problems.

    “Sound Formats
The following sampling rates are supported for sound files:
    11, 22 and 44 kHz
    8-bit and 16-bit

    WAV Import
Only uncompressed WAV files are supported.
Markers included in the WAV files are imported into CINEMA 4D.
    AIFF Import

    AIFF-Import
Mac sound files are also supported.”

if you know that already, more info please.
