    Hi guys,

After looking up every vegas forum on the net i could not come with a solution for this:

I have a NTSC widescreen dvd that i want to edit in vegas…when i use import dvd folder all the files get in media project, but when i play them while video seems fine, the audio is very slowed down, it only plays fine when i put up the playing rate to “2”.

The same happens when i put the files on the timeline and the trimmer…

Why is this happening? Any way to solve it

Im using the project settings matching the files….

Are you sure you don’t have a PAL/NTSC mismatch?

If I understand your post correctly, you’re working with MPEG video, is the audio AC3, MPEG, or PCM? If it’s MPEG, you’ll likely lose sync.
By “slowed down” do you mean pitched down? If so, that’s a sample problem. If it’s different in length, that could be a sample problem as well.
Project settings to 48K? Sound card capable of 48K?
Have you rendered even a small portion of this project to determine if it’s only playback that is latent vs actual latency? RAM render it (SHIFT +B) and see if that gives you sync’d audio.

    MPEG

    YES

    If it’s different in length?

NO, in the timeline its the same lengh, but the video is okay, so when it reaches the end of the video clip, the audio ends aswell but way before its “real end”

Project settings to 48K? YES Sound card capable of 48K? YES

Have you rendered even a small portion of this project to determine if it’s only playback that is latent vs actual latency?

YES, teh rendered video comes with the problem on it

RAM render it (SHIFT +B) and see if that gives you sync’d audio

    With that i can’t even hear a sound…

Looks like a tricky one, dont worry too much guys i have the soundboard audio of this show and ill just sync that with the video ,its quite hard w/o the source sound, but oh well!

Thanks for your help and comments! And if someone come sup with a solution it’d be cool to see, coz im starting to think this is some kind of bug with the lastest update 🙁

    Cheers
    Manu
