Sound problems on LH and IO
I have two systems one is 2x2Ghz/10.4.3/FCP 5.0.3/Aja IO (drivers version 2.1) and another is 2×2.5GHz/10.4.2/FCP 5.0.2/Kona LH (drivers version 1.1.5) and am planing to move both of them from QT 7.0.2 to 7.0.3.
I know that all of you will say that if it is not broken then I should not fix it, but it looks like it is broken. Every now and then we are losing one channel of sound on both systems (well, never at the same time, but on both systems). From what I can see the only same thing on both systems is QT version, so I am pressuming it is responsible for the problem.
The only problem is that I did not hear that either Kona LH or IO drivers are working fine with QT 7.0.3.
Is it safe to upgrade QuickTime?

Make sure you are running all of the latest drivers for both and you should be OK. If you aren’t after that, then it might be time for a totally clean install if you didn’t do this when (if) you upgraded to Tiger. I really think that just “upgrading” to Tiger from an earlier OS is just asking for problems.

I’m working in PAL also. I have an Kona LH that unfortunatly does not work.
The problem is the software! I did not found out yet which one, all i can say is
OS 10.4.3, FCP 5.03, QT 7.03 and the driver 1.1.6 is a configuration that won’t work.cheers, Heinz
