Hello everybody. I am editing a video for a client that consists of a bunch of single interviews shot in many different conference rooms. My client used a very cheap directional mono microphone for the audio and it is terrible quality. My main issue is what appears to be an electrical hum (different for each room). I tried the hum remover and it was of little help. I also tried the 32 band graphic equalizer and have not been able to isolate the sound with it. I have used the audio filters in the past successfully, but for some reason i am having no luck this time. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Are there nay other tips or tricks within FCP that I could try?

For regular, single frequency hum issues, you should be able to isolate it
pretty easy with the 3 band EQ or graphics equalizer.

Here’s a P.S.: Have you tried the 3 band EQ and raising the audio level
to the max as you scrub through the frequencies? That will highlight
the offending frequency better. Then you can dial that one down.
