  Sound in the workflow

  I am asking this as i have had and issue with sound in an aftereffects composition i used in a Premiere Pro sequence. I put some sound in the after effects for a logo animation. I put the sound there as i wanted to be able to use that aftereffects comp in a future project. So that brings me to my question, Where should i put sound? What is the best practice for these types of scenarios.
