Posted by Accountfrozen_needs_realname on July 20, 2007 at 8:06 pmWhy is it when i import my premier footage in AE to be edited, there is no sound?? When i export it back (after i’m done with it), still no sound. Its as if it disappeared… What gives?

July 20, 2007 at 9:15 pmYou have to tell AE to preview with sound if you want to hear anything. When you render out, it defaults to no sound. You have to check the box that says audio in the render settings.
I am rendering something right now, so I can’t tell you the exact menu to open to preview the sound. I just know where it is on the interface. The shortcut is the (.) key. It will only show audio. I almost never edit anything with sound in AE.

July 21, 2007 at 2:40 amPlease tell us when you can or cannot (yes/no) hear sound for this clip:
– in QT Player?
– when double-clicking on it in AE project window?
– when doing a RAM preview of the comp with the RAM preview sound button on?
– when doing an audio preview (. on numeric kbd) of the comp? -

July 21, 2007 at 5:45 pmjust move your timeslider and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard, this also gives you the audio. or check the “audio” when selecting for RAM preview.
