    Hey everyone,

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer.

We’re shooting a short film-noir for campus movie fest ( http://www.campusmoviefest.com )…it’s a 5 minute film to be shot and edited over the course of one week. I want to emulate the traditional noir sound as much as possible. I know the actors had deep voices which many of mine might not be able to achieve, but aside from that is there anyone to add rasp and whatever that effect is (I can’t find the right words for it).

Also…if I were wanting to have a short phone conversation, is the best way to rent an interface and use a real phone or is there a method to make audio sound like it’s coming from a phone.

    Thanks so much,
    Jason

[jmill0823] “is there a method to make audio sound like it’s coming from a phone.

Have the actor speak close to the mic and add a “High-Pass Filter” in the edit.
