    Hey all,

So I’m in Premiere Pro CC 7.1. I’m trying to do some temp audio work, and it looks like some of the audio effects just wont work. For instance, I can apply a HiPass filter, but not a reverb filter.

It still shows up in the effects tab, and I can adjust the peramiters of the effect, but there is no difference in sound. It’s not on “bypass”, and the effect is active.

    I’m using linked mono tracks. 48khz – 24 bit – mono.

The only thing i might see as a problem is that the project is in 32 bit floating point – mono. But I dont know what I can do to change that…

    PLEASE HELP.

    Thanks a bunch.

Try the selecting Hi Pass & Reverb in the Audio Track Mixer vs. dropping the filter on the seq. audio. See if that plays the effects back properly. You can edit the filters by double clicking on them in the audio track mixer to open up their individual properties.

    Andy,

Thanks a bunch. Yes that works as normal, unfortunately, I cannot afford to have seperate tracks for these specific audio clips/SFX that I’m effecting. Is there no other way to effect the clip without effecting the track. In other words, only effect the clip?

Not sure what it could be with your system. Do you have Audition? You can send the seq. to Audition and see all your tracks separately. Drop in whatever Audio filters you need on the clips and then send the seq back to premiere as stems so you can tweak edit without losing your effects.

Couple maintenance things you can do:
Clean / Delete you cache files
    Repair permissions on your drive
Reboot and start new project / use media browser to import your old seq. drop on audio effects to test if they play properly.
