1st – As a Newb to these forums I want to say how great this community is from my reading your posts lately. Now my 2 questions:

Q1: I downloaded the FCP X sound effects just now – but unlike FCS, they were forcefully installed on my boot drive (always want to keep my boot drive clean). Can I move the folder(s) without pain?

Q2: I searched the online manual and elsewhere but can’t find out how to point my current Sound Track Pro and other sound effects (or the folder from Q1 when I move it) so they can be viewed in the ‘Music and Sound Browser’. Help?

Thank you all for your help.

Try dragging your folder of existing sound effects from the Finder to the Music and Sound Browser. They can live anywhere you want. FYI, this works with the Photos Browser too.

Hmmm – I might be completely missing something here – but FCP X doesn’t allow me to drag that folder or any music or sounds into the ‘Music and Sound Browser’.
