May 26, 2006 at 11:30 pmyes there are HEAPS of free SFX in STP.
plus there are a few in iMovie
to access them you have to control click on the app itself, and “show package contents”
dig down into resources/sound effects.
they’re all MP3s,
so need to be converted to AIFFs before you can use them in FCP.i made an FCP project called SFX,
and it referenced the SoundtrackPro effects, and a AIFF copies for the iMovie ones.
you can do a lot with those.cheers,

May 30, 2006 at 9:34 pmTry Ljudo.
https://ljudo.com/default.asp?lang=tEnglish&do=it
They have some of the best sounding free sfx that I’ve found. When you go to the site, click on ‘download’ and not ‘audition’ if you want to listen. Otherwise you have to go through Realplayer. ‘Download’ just opens a QT movie in a new window.
You can also go to Yahoo and type ‘free sound effects’ in the search field for a bunch more. Some of These are of lesser quality than Ljudo though.
