Sound Editing Question
Couple of questions on sound editing within SVP 12.
1) How would I go about getting that 1920s/1930s “muffled” “sung-through-a-megphone” sound for a soundtrack on the timeline within SVP?
2) I have a song clip on the timeline and apply a sound effect to the clip only. If I decide I don’t want that effect, and remove it, the effect still is applied to the audio clip. Shouldn’t sound effects be removed if they’re removed from the Audio Event FX dialog box?

You can try a few filters and adjust the levels on them to get the exact result you want, but to muffle audio, one of the things you can try is the Resonant Filter and muffle. Maybe add “Hank on Escape Route” in the Resonant Filter and bring down the wet/dry bar to make it sound distressed, like it’s an old audio recording. Or maybe the “Teenage Late Night Radio” under Resonant Filter. Just try out several and see what works.

Right click on the audio track, click “Open new audio track” and just apply the plugin to that clip.
