Hi there. Sorry if this is off topic but I’m trying to find a forum (or someone who can create sound effects) to help me out with a animation project. Right now, using the sounds that I can find online are not proving very useful for me so I was just asking if anyone knows a forum where you can request someone to create sounds or sound effects either for free or a price?

    Thanks in advance.

Hello Saif and welcome to the Cow Audio Forum.

    Budget is everything.

it would probably help if you created a list of exactly what you wanted, so people could see what sort of sounds you needed.

There a re a number of online sound sites. SoundDogs.com and soundclick.com come to mind.

Ah yes. Right well I need the sounds of a car engine but not just any car, I need the sound of a sleek, futuristic car sound. So I need an idle sound, and a sound where the car builds up speed. I hope that made any sense since it is quite hard to describe a sound that’s never been made before! And thanks for the sites. I will definitely check them out, thanks.

    Saif,

Making up sounds from other sounds can be a lot of fun. If you do, it can be a very addictive thing. Start by figuring out a filing system by categories, dates, key words, etc.

That way, as you collection grows, you’ll know where to put new sounds and how to retrieve them.

And please keep us apprised of your progress.

Im pretty sure youll find what you need if you look in SFX libraries like Hollywood edge, sound ideas, Digifects etc etc.
