I’m looking to purchase a DVD authoring program. But before I do, I need to get feedback from real users and DVD authorers. I’ve heard good things about Encore. Please feel free to give me your thoughts. I just want to make the right decision.

I’m using a PC and AVID Xpress Pro.

What’s the best for pc? adobe encore? Procoder? DVDstudio pro?
    any other programs?

    Thanks guys.

By far the best authoring app(for PCs) with the most functions without having to pay up the nose would be this:

    https://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/dvdlabpro.html

Its has a larger learning curve but has alot of flexability.

never used Encore but my friend loves it. Also Procoder is a great encoder I use it on my PC then author in DVDSP

I second erics suggestion of DVD-Lab Pro. It has a huge feature set and is very straight-forward to use and you can’t beat the price. It does not have a built-in MPEG encoder so if you need that, I suggest getting the DVD-Lab Pro/TMPGEnc DVD Source Creator bundle that is offered on Mediachance’s site.

I really like Encore, but it took me a while to feel comfortable with it. If you know Photoshop pretty well, you’ll have less of a learning curve.
