    SOS: Drive space shows 156GB used but drive contents empty

    I’m in a panic mode.
    My media files are missing!

    Now all the subfolders are visible but there is no contents inside.
    That is My Computer – DRIVE F – Avid MediaFiles Folder (visible) – MXF folder (visible) – contents in MXF folder (EMPTY).

    Now when I check DRIVE F it tells me 156GB of 210GB used, which corresonds to the media file size. So it seems to recognize files inside the drive but when I go inside it’s completely empty!

    I’ve checked all my other drives and everything is intact. What confounds me is if this is a Windows 7 problem why didn’t it wipe out the whole drive (including the subfolders itself, as opposed to leaving the subfolders visible but just wiping out the media files.

    Any help?…

    Did you empty the Recyle bin?
