  Sorting clips conundrum

  I’m having a strange problem with FCP 7.0.3.

  A while back we brought in an assistant to capture footage- unfortunately, much of the shots were not complete, so there are several gaps in timecode.

  We are now having to re-scour through every tape bin (years later), find the TC gaps and digitize accordingly.

  As soon as the clips are logged, unfortunately, they don’t get categorized in sequential timecode order. (When they are sorted by Media Start”). Without clips falling in order, it makes it very difficult to determine where the gaps are.

  This looks like a FCP bug and I was wondering if anyone has ever encountered-and solved-this problem before.
