Sorry for the hardware question
I am about to build my dream system for ‘graphics design purposes only’ and I am employing a quad core processor. Vista of course has some considerations built into it for this processor however I am reading so many bad things about Vista from a performance stand point. Am tempted to stay with XP. Is this good for u 2?

Vista probably won’t get you anything worth the headaches and resource hogging of the OS. If it were me, I would stick with XP given that it has been stable for a while now, has multiple updates that addressed any lingering issues and doesn’t consume RAM and other resources as bad as Vista does.
