Sorry, edge selection question again…
Once again I am asking if anyone else has totally inconsistent bracket-key edge selection behavior… i simply cannot get the key-command to work 90% of the time, but the strange thing is, once in a while it dies. The reason i want it to work so badly is that i have a LOT of dialog-only clips cut together very fine, individual words and nat sound etc. etc…. and i have applied a custom 3-frame audio dissolve to ALL the cuts, to smooth out pops etc. But supposedly i should be able to use the bracket key to select an edge, even with transition applied, if i want to trim or nudge the edit point. But, I cannot seem to get the bracket key to work even with no transition applied!… am i missing something obvious? Just two clips cut next to each other, i can select the edge with the mouse, but not with the [ or ] key. Except randomly once every 20 tries. Very frustrating.

Answered my own question by searching older posts… playhead must be on edit point.
