    Hello
    I am using sorenson squeeze to compress a movie but I am confuse with a two concepts..
    what does it mean when in frame rate says 1:1 , 2:1 and 3:1

    and

    what does it mean “key frame every X frames”

    1:1 frame rate matches the source…2:1 doubles the frame rate of the source.

    Keyframes are used for indexing a clip, alowing one to skip forward or backward. The frames between keyframes are often not complete frames, depending on the type of compression, spatial or temporal. More keyframes makes for a larger file.
