sorenson squeeze 10 can’t encode Avid 4k DnxHR quicktime?
Trying to export our first 4k show from Avid and encode to mp4 for client approval. I export a same-as-source from Avid. This quicktime opens and playback, quicktime correctly says it’s DnxHR codec. Sorenson even opens this file correctly and shows picture. However when I click export it spits out an error: PARM_GETVIDEODATA_ERR
I checked the Sorenson forums but there are 0 hits on DnxHR. Same on the Avid forums.
I could mix down to HD but it will take a long time.
And advice?

I don’t see anywhere on their site the use of DNXHR as either input or output codec, just DNXHD.
Are you running the pro version?
I see they say they can output 4K, but i’m not sure what flavour of 4k they can input. Have you called support? Version 10 is pretty new, you should still have some sort of support options from them.

UPDATE: I spoke with support and they suggested deleting and re-adding quicktime as the default MOV reader. That did the trick.
