  sorenson – mp4 ‘issues’

  Hello Folks,

  I am a tad confused.

  Have exported a 16:9 clip (AVI) from premiere to sorenson for a mp4 compression/ 320 by 180 clip. Whilst it exports the clip as a 320 by 180, it’s picture aspect ratio (when viewing the clip properties back in premiere) is 0.75. Making it look squashed.

  If I export the original clip directly from Premiere as an mp4/ 320 by 180 it’s picture aspect ratio is 1. Or when i compress using sorenson as a WMV, or other formats (not MP4) it’s picture aspect ratio is 1. also.

  Just seems to be the mp4 compression in sorenson.

  NB I’m using maintain aspect ratio and importing as 16:9 in sorenson

  Any help, very much appreciated.
