A client has requested delivery of files as follows:

    Video size: 720×486
Quicktime: animation or Sorenson or Sorenson 3

I don’t think the client actually knows what he wants, as Sorenson 3 is kind of old, and it bears no relationship to the animation codec afaik.

I don’t have Sorenson of any kind, and was intending to supply the files in two separate folders, as Quicktime animation and Quicktime .h264.

What would you do? I hate to buy Sorenson for this one job, unless it has some virtues that I’m missing.

Indeed, it sounds like the client doesn’t know what they’re on about…

    But….

If you have Quicktime, you have Sorenson, you may just need to enable it.

Go into QuickTime Preferences -> Advanced. Click on “Show Legacy Encoders”.

This free version doesn’t include the advanced options like 2-pass encoding, IIRC, but it’ll get the job done.

    Good luck.
